Rhyolite, Nevada

Rhyolite is probably the most photographed ghost town in the west! Why? Because it has so many standing ruins and its easy accessibility!
We love Rhyolite! Its a blast to explore! And where else can you find such a great example of an original bottle house!? This one even comes with a host! They'll fill ya in on the history of the building and even point out cool things like the 86+ year old crickets in one of the bottles! Check out the photos below!











The Bullfrog/Rhyolite cemetary (just west of the townsite) is filled with graves, most are unmarked.


The photo below was taken within the Rhyolite town limits on a lot owned by a group of Belgan artists. My favorites are of the "ghosts" of Rhyolite. This is one of them.
