We ended up at Pioche after a failed attempt to find the site of Deer Lodge ghost town! Cat recognized Pioche right away from old pictures of the town from the 1800's she had seen. Its amazing how little the place has changed! The town reminded us alot of Virginia City, in that they are trying to use the ghost town influence to rejuvenate the town. Its working in Virginia City, it not in Pioche.
But we thought it was cool anyway! The famous Million Dollar Courthouse is still in awesome condition (for a million bucks it had better be!) and was the first thing Cat recognized from her ghost town books! This place was totally worth the visit to ghost town fanatics like us!
